The Shatner Show

Shatner Reflecting...
I was invited to contribute a portrait of William Shatner to The Shatner Show, being hosted by UPPERCASE gallery. Seventy Six artists contributed portraits of Shatner in all his glory, and UPPERCASE chose mine and fellow Drawger Marc Burkhardt's portraits, along with Doug Fraser's, to promote the show and feature on the cover of the book.

Instead of portraying him in his Star Trek guise, being well aware of Shatner's widespread fame as a singing sensation, I chose to paint him in his dressing room, reflecting on how lonely it is at the top. I added a nod at his hair issues, in the form of a hair dryer.
